If you would like help to lose weight you may already know how frustrating it can be to go on a diet, lose some initial weight and then slowly see that weight return. Possibly gaining more than before you went on a diet. Some of the clients who come to me have been dieting most of their adult life.
We often eat through boredom or stress or just out of habit. We may drink a little too much, a little too often or constantly snack on high fat or sugary foods. We may snack in the evening, even though we are full. It can feel like a part of us is making those decisions when we had no intention of eating more than we wanted to. Hypnotherapy for weight management can be marketed under many guises ; hypnoband and now the hypno-jab but we are essentially using the power of the unconscious to reprogram and reset how we use food in a more mindful way. We may even find that our appetite reduces and we feel full quicker or that fake foods are no longer so attractive.
We can work together in a relaxing way to create a healthier relationship with food and address any disordered patterns that may have caused unwanted weight gain. As well as becoming a healthier weight, most clients gain energy and self-esteem and change how they feel about food.

How do you treat food issues and how long will it take?
Very often a particular food issue can begin to be treated in just one session but for longer term weight loss, food management clients may want to come back for a few sessions to build on their progress and keep the positive momentum going.
In your consultation, we'll talk about what you want to address and then use a combination of techniques to help you resolve it.
