Managing relationships
Human beings naturally seek connection with others and healthy relationships should bring a sense of security, meaning, support and joy. However they can also be a cause for anxiety, unhappiness and a loss of autonomy and even fear. Whether it’s a relationship with a family member, colleague, ex partner or lover, most of us will experience relationship problems at some point during their life. Some people seem to just bounce back and move on but a lot of us can be stuck in a destructive cycle of self blame, guilt and shame.
Hypnotherapy can be used to help us manage relationships in a number of ways, from learning how to feel calm and heal and create healthy boundaries around less healthful thinking and building an increased sense of self esteem and confidence. If we have grown up within an emotionally challenging family system we may find ourselves repeating negatives patterns and may even struggle to know what our preferences and boundaries are and what we want from a relationship. We can do this safely and calming and in a non judgemental way.
Hypnotherapy can be a calm and supportive way to help deal with loss or grief. It can give you positive suggestions to help cope with anxiety, insomnia, deep sadness and depression, and other symptoms of grieving; it can reduce feelings of guilt and blame, and help you to find ways of coping in the future with your loved person no longer in your life.
Hypnotherapy can help you deal with challenging times or situations in this space:
Divorce
Relationship issues
Break ups
Dealing with grief and bereavement
Workplace bullying
Confidence
Dealing with confrontation
How do you approach a session like this and how long will it take?
A hypnotherapy session can you help you process your feelings in your own way – to laugh or cry or shout – without feeling that others may misinterpret or judge. It will help you to find a way to understand your loss or situation, and to deal with those emotions arising out of it. Then we'll work through ways of managing your physical and emotions responses, how to cope in stressful situations, and how to take positive steps so you can ultimately flourish.
